10 years ago today (12 October 2026) my piano concerto – inspired by the poem ‘And This Was How It Started’ from Niall Campbell’s wonderfull Moontide – received its premiere with Tom Poster and the SCO under Thierry Fischer. I was doing some talks this week and squished the highlights of its 30-minute span into 6.5 minutes. It’s slightly scary that this actually works. . . !
